Our Story

 

Hi, I'm Cortney, owner of Amelia Sage. I've been an avid gardener for years, with the goal of growing as much food as I can for my family. Especially after becoming a mom, I realized that the products we put ON our bodies hold as much significance as the foods we put INTO our bodies. If we're taking steps to remove chemicals from our bodies by eating healthier food, it makes sense to do the same with personal care products we use every day.

I started to create handmade body care products with simple and effective ingredients for my family. We all fell in love with them and started to use them every day. Eventually, I wanted to offer my line to others looking for affordable, simple, more natural options that work to support hard-working, healthy skin. That's when I founded Amelia Sage (named after my two daughters' middle names) in 2015.

Now, in 2024, I've paired down my product line to the top three products that resonate most with my customers. After testing my products face-to-face with customers at local markets, in local stores on a wholesale basis, and through online sales, I've been able to realize the products my customers use the most. Simplifying allows me to focus on those products and get them into more people's hands.

 

Which brings me back to my food-growing background, and knowing how much our hands, feet, lips, elbows, and knees need nourishment and protection!
